Ghostbusters: The Video Game

Who you gonna call? That's right, its Ghostbusters time. After nearly 20 years, the Ghostbusters team is putting back on their proton packs and gearing up for another star studded performance, but for the video game industry rather than the big screen.
Featuring the original star studded cast, including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson, the game follows the gang two years after the events of the second film. The team is bringing on a new recruit, which is your character, and you are immediately thrown into a ghost filled world of ghouls and demons alike. The team finds itself battling familiar foes, including the States Puff Marshmallow Man, The Librarian, and even Gozer, the evil demigod from the first film. All of these creatures are only the beginning of a deadly fate for New York City and the world that only the expert ghost hunters can stop.
The visuals of this game are quite extraordinary. As the game begins, we are sent to a place of familiarity and feel like we are immersed in a third film. The dialogue between the cast reminds us all why we loved the movies so much. Along with the original proton packs, you are able to update your weaponry throughout the game, and get a vast arsenal, including a slime stream. The list of enemies is relentless, and vary from small flying bat ghosts to large marshmallow men destroying half of New York.
All in all, this game is a great third-person action game. It is full of many laughs, and a great story that has us guessing all the way up till the end. It was truly great to see the cast reunited once again, and leaves us hoping to see more from these creative geniuses. I rate this game a 9 out of 10, for the visuals were not lacking and the story never failed me. And don't forget all you Ghostbuster fans out there, Never Cross the Streams.
