OO7: Quantum of Solace

The Name's Bond. James Bond. That's right, everyone's favorite British spy is back, in the smash video game based on the latest 007 movies staring Daniel Craig. The game allows us to experience the vast arsenal of deadly techniques Bond uses to battle his enemies. Combining moments from the second movie with flashbacks to the first, gamers can see first hand the genius behind the hit series.
The story follows British Spy James Bond as he goes after the organization that killed the woman he loves, Vespa. By following a series of leads, he stumbles onto a secret criminal organization with various terrorist connections, and must use every weapon in his arsenal to stop them. Throughout the game we get to experience key moments from the first game and fight first hand in the memorable battles Bond faced the 1st time around. Daniel Craig has brought a new level of heroism and suave to all action heroes in both the movie industry and the gaming industry, and even gives notorious action hero Jason Bourne a run for his money.
The games cinematic experience is phenomenal, and the vast array of weapon use combined with the wide variety of hand to hand combat moves allows for an overall action packed gaming journey. Combine this with the integral storyline, I give this game a 10/10, for it truly reinvents the spy game industry, and proves why the series reboot has been a worldwide success.

Mortal Combat Vs. DC Universe

Collaborations often bring together two hardcore factions to create an epic tale, and Mortal Combat Vs. DC Universe did just that. Bringing fourth the best the Mortal Combat realm has to offer and merging it with the best of the DC Universe, this game not only allows fans from both realms to get a fighting experience they will never forget, but gives the gamer an idea of what would happen if their favorite characters fought one another. The story does not disappoint in this game either, and does not give the impression that it was just something that was thrown together so the companies had an excuse to merge. This game actually stays true to their franchises while bringing fourth an epic tale.
The game allows players to choose which side they prefer, i.e. the Mortal Combat side or the DC Universe side, and the story plays from their. The main idea is that the most notorious and powerful villain on each side were inexplicably merged together into one being, and because of this both worlds are beginning to merge, which allows the universe to tear apart. Both sides blame the other, and from their all chaos ensues.
The game play works in classic Mortal Combat fashion, while allowing players to wield their favorite characters unique powers. The cinematic experiance was quite good, and don't give off a cheesy quality in the least bit. Fans are given a wide array of characters to choose from, and aside from the story mode, fans can choose an arcade mode to pit their favorite characters against one another, or play online against one another.
All in all, I give this game an 8/10, for the story seemed to keep me intrigued throughout the entire game, and the action never let up for a second. I highly recommend that fans of both Mortal Combat and DC Universe play this game, and further enjoy the story and characters you have come to love and know.
